CNET Asia Review
Excellent
The good: Swanky design; all games in HD; PSP-like user-friendly interface; plays Blu-ray and upscales DVDs to 1080p; built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; 80GB hard drive; wireless and optional force feedback controllers; backward-compatible with PS2 and PS1 titles; built-in memory card readers; online play is free; onboard Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoder. 8.8
out of 10View score
The bad: A USB port on the back would've been nice; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; runs hot and noisy; power guzzler.
The bottom line: The 80GB Sony PlayStation 3 is still the most expensive next-gen game console, but its swanky design and bevy of features make it great value even at S$799.

The Best
Jun 24, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Blu-Ray; HDMI; HD Video; HD Audio; Updates.... and so on.....
Cons: Runs a little hot.. bit loud
Opinion:
If you are a Blu-Ray fan, this is the best player... If you are a gamer... this is the best console... What else can I say?
Great piece of machinery
Jun 17, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: HDMI connection, wi-fi, beautiful graphics
Cons: Dual shock not standard in the controllers, limited and expensive games
Opinion:
I have just picked up the 40GB machine and now enjoying the machine to the fullest. Was contemplating buying the wii as it is a family console but for driving/shooting games the wii does not come close to the PS3.Have always been a PS fan hence did not consider the XBOX. I just wish they make the games a bit more cheaper and i need to buy that dual shock controller they have just released.
I love it
May 21, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Bluray player; hd graphics; beautifully designed; web browser
Cons: quite loud; runs warm; comes with Bluray capabilities, but not hdmi cable...; web browser
Opinion:
I bought this on a whim on my way to work and don't regret it one bit. I love it. I mainly use it as a dvd/bluray player but I do play games every once in a while as well. It has a web browser that, if you have only your ps3, does the trick - I prefer my laptop for that though. I would definitely suggest this to anyone.
